When the luuma – or “markets,” in Senegal, West Africa, were closed due to the Pandemic in 2020, Some of the women artisans from Ngaye Mekhe, Senegal, contacted me to help them sell more of their baskets. This initiated the birth of the Artisan Luuma. More friends from Ghana and Madagascar also contacted me about their products, and we began to curate a collection of artisan goods at www.artisanluuma.com. I am looking forward to showcasing artisans from even more countries in the near future. In the meantime, please support the work of our amazing artisans by shopping with confidence, knowing that all returns are accepted, because at artisan Luuma we believe in the quality of our products and customer satisfaction!
